Two men on unicycles play basketball on a well-lit court at night. One is in the process of taking a shot, the other is rushing to defend. The one taking the shot is wearing a jersey that reads "REVOLUTION", with the number 12.

CalHI coverage of Kostya

A couple weeks ago we were visited by Aubrie Tolliver from Cal-Hi Sports. She was doing a piece on Kostya, who’s been playing with us in Berkeley since he was about eight years old. He’s now a teenager, a star on his (non-unicycle) basketball team at Gunn High in Palo Alto, and a centerpiece of the Berkeley uni basketball scene. Also now probably the tallest guy on the court.

We still play every Tuesday night at San Pablo Park in Berkeley. We’re not currently competing as the Berkeley Revolution, but a team named Swish, consisting mostly of players from our weekly game in Berkeley, will be going to this year’s nationals, and also the world championships in Steyr, Austria.
